CoCoDA and El Salvador have partnered together for 34 years and for the last 10 years, CoCoDA has held a 7 day tour to Central America. The «Friends of CoCoDA» trip is an opportunity to enjoy the marvelous landscape of El Salvador, while also learning about the hope of people in the rural communities and projects that CoCoDA, alongside our Salvadorian partners, have carried about during this 34 years of solidarity.

During this seven-day tour you will visit schools, water projects, organic farms, meet students in the Ivan Villasboa Scholarship House and see all the work they do for their communities and much more. You will also have the opportunity to hear firsthand the hopes and dreams of people from El Salvador, meet our partners and learn about their experience working with rural communities.

During and in the end of the trip you will also have an opportunity to enjoy El Salvador, vising Mayan ruins, walk in the colonial city of Suchitoto, eat pupusas and see the marvelous beach of El Tunco.
There will also be an opportunity to spend a night living with a Salvadorian family, which is one the highlights of the trip because you experience the culture in real life. This journey to El Salvador with CoCoDA is more than just travel, it is an opportunity to walk alongside the communities that CoCoDA has accompanied for 32 years, it is also a chance to learn how these communities want to shape their future and can be part of that.
We hope that you will consider joining us this year. Save the date for June 6-13, 2026!
