The CoCoDA Solar Energy and Water Conference will take place on Saturday, October 3rd for the Conference and Sunday October 4th for the visit to a Solar Power Water System in Cabañas, El Salvador.

At the conference, we will learn about the benefits and best practices of using solar power to pump water to rural communities in Central America.

In the second part of the conference, representatives from the proposed community projects will present details on how solar power can provide clean water to more than 3,000 people.

  • VIRTUAL TOUR of one solar-powered water project.
  • TWO SESSIONS on the advantages of solar power, best practices in system management and water system sustainability.
  • OPPORTUNITIES to interact and develop international partnerships and collaborations.

2nd
12:00 MD Midday arrival at El Salvador International Airport. (Flights are to be arranged by registrant.) Transport will be provided from the airport to the Cabańas department for an evening meal and welcome.
Oct.
3rd
10:00 AM EST Morning session Introduction to the basics of how solar powered water systems work. (In-person or Online)
03:00 PM EST Afternoon session Participants will hear specifics about each of the two projects from the Central American leaders who are planning and implementing them.

4th
7:00 PM Visit one of the proposed sites and meet with local community members.
Oct.
5th
7:00 PM Transportation back to the airport will be provided for return flights.
